Hello 2015!

Absolutely thrilled to welcome in the new year! Reflecting over 2014 scrappy adventures has instigated some changes for my 2015 plans. During 2014, I did the weekly LSS newsletter, designed 57 double page layouts for kits and classes, worked Saturday hours, hosted crops, and coordinated store classes. Well.... I am a tad tired! 2015, I am just going to chill and see what kind of mischief I can find in my craft room. But I am going to have a plan!

I want to change up some scrappy things for 2015. I have enjoyed reading other crafters' plans and goals. I thought I would start my first post of 2015 with my own plans. I am not a specific goal setter, more of a generalized plan setter. :) Just letting you know.

2015 Thoughts

Scrap Process/Scrap Size
I am in process of figuring out how I will scrapbook this year. I love my 12x12 albums and pages, but I want something else. Over December, I started reflecting over all the 12x12 albums I have. I want a different size to scrapbook, smaller. I am in a quandary as to what I will do. 6x8 seems too small, maybe 8.5x11 scrapping. But 8.5x11 is still not calling out to me. I want to incorporate more pocket scrapping with whatever size I go with for this year. I want to be a bit smarter as to how I am contributing to my growing album collection. It is speaking to me, my growing album size. I feel pocket scrapping will allow me document more photos that I want and then I can play with my papers to scrapbook other photos without increasing my albums at such a high rate.

Product
I am still keeping to my system of scrapping from my paper tray, but I still find I have too many papers. I plan to be even more selective with paper purchase. I will put a little more thought into the number of sheets of paper I buy from new lines. If I stick to it, I will think 4 to 5 sheets from new lines and only 2 embellishment items. I'll see if this works.

Photos
I have a sweet new camera! But I find myself still grabbing my iPad to take photos! No, I am going to learn how to maximize my new camera. I love Elise's 2014 Photo a Day challenge from Feed Your Craft. She is so inspiring! So no more grabbing the iPad!

I think I am set for 2015 plans!  Happy New Year everyone, may it sparkle and shine for everyone!

  1. I can't wait to see what crafty mischief you get into, Tisha! So much about your post resonates with my thoughts about size, space, and quality over quantity. Have fun with your new camera, I'm sure you'll put it to good use! xoxo

  2. You have some great resolutions…especially the first one of having "YOU" time for scrapbooking :)
I have a "big boy" camera as well, but only use it in auto mode…i really should learn to use it better :)

    1. I know about that "auto mode" safety. I get so nervous when I move it off that setting. :p

  4. Good luck with your goals! I'm trying to figure mine out too. I need something to make Project Life a little fresher. I love the end product. I want to make more 12x12 layouts too.

  5. Happy New Year!! :) Great Goals - always fun to challenge yourself, even when it's scary at first! ;) I am such a creature of habit with certain things, but I'm also going to try and learn more about my camera this year!! We'll be learning together! :)

  6. Sounds like you have some great goals for 2015! I am hoping to use my bigger cancer more instead of always grabbing my phone.
And Studio Calico has those 9x12 albums coming out soon that I am considering trying.

  8. I too am more of a generalized planner rather than goal setter. lol. I think those goals are great. You've got to do what works for you. Like this year for me, I plan on scrapping more, but I need to incorporate more digital pages because of the convenience and all that I have going on this year.
