My Craft Room

This is a page for my craft room, definitely one of my favorite rooms in our house!

My craft room underwent a redo during December 2013. It was too clutter and the organization system did not work for me.  The only furniture I kept was my scrap table and my sewing machine table. I redid my organization system using Recollection cubes from Michaels. My room is still a work in progress, but this is what it looks like from December 2014 photos.

I hope you enjoy my room!

MY CRAFT CUBE SYSTEM

My stash is just behind me when I am sitting at my table. I love these cubes!

VIEW OF WHAT I KEEP IN MY CUBE SYSTEM

The Third stack holds Thickers and alpha stickers and then random stuff.

The last stack hold items used less frequently.

These are my two stacks for paper. I really have not went through my pattern paper in a long time! I keep pattern paper organized by company, but I may be changing this system.

SIDE WALL STORAGE
This is a tall work station we created using two laundry room cabinets purchased at Lowes with a piece of melamine board across the top and then as a back piece, also from Lowes. Super simple!

INSIDE VIEW OF THE CABINETS

I keep my art paint brushes, random fabric, Zutter coils, acrylic paint, and some old projects in these two cabinets.

WINDOW CUBES

My window looks out to the street. I love the light I get in the late afternoons from the window!

These cubes house old magazines, old photos, and ribbons. I keep my small stash of punches on the window sill.  And of course, it is a favorite sleeping spot for the cats.

SEWING MACHINE STAND

I love sewing on my craft projects.  This is an old machine my mother-in-law gave me and I love it! I keep it covered from a makeshift cover I made from an old dress. I found the old stand for my machine at a second hand store and spray painted it orange.

THE CLOSET

My craft room is actually the third bedroom. So it does have a closet. It goes through phases of being neat and organized to how it is now, a mess.  I keep an old tie chest I purchased many years ago from a second hand store to house all my wooden blocks.  My old typewriter sits on top of it. I try to keep stuff off my typewriter, but I am not always successful.

LITTLE BITS

This is a stand I got from the bathroom organization aisle at WalMart. It holds my embossing powders and paste. It sits on top of my cubes that houses my cardstock.

HOW I SCRAP

This is where I store my new papers and embellies that I want to scrapbook with, in this bamboo tray and clear tray. These two items just sit on my table ready for action!

Hope you enjoyed my tour!  Have a great scrappy day!

  2. Wow...that is a fabulous space, with so much great light! LOVE the idea of cabinets with a board across them. And cool how the Thickers fit in those drawers.
